Well, I am so excited because I have so much done for the wedding and lots of time left. I just finally got a break with the girl’s dresses. A friend of a friend is going to make them for us and says that she will probably start doing that in February. That is so great. Also I finally got a chance to sit down with the florist and talk about prices. Let me tell you, flowers are definitely more expensive then you think. I was actually shocked that my bouquet was going to be over a hundred dollars. That is okay though. I am still going to get real flowers for the wedding party and then have the silk flowers for the reception. So, I am really excited about what is done.
I have spoken with a photographer this weekend and prices are high. The quality is good and what is offered is good. I think that we are going to look around some more, just to at least get some other prices. I got the cake deposit in and contract with them. That is another part taken care of and one less thing to worry about. It is so hard to plan the wedding when I have full time school and full time work. I did not realize how hard it was going to be, especially since I putting in applications for doctor of pharmacy school. There is a lot to these applications. So, I sometimes have to put the wedding planning on hold until other work is finished.
I am going to continue planning and getting ready as best as possible with the little time I have. I am supposed to meet with the seamstress during the week sometime, but I find it hard to do so when I have to work everyday. It will have to wait I guess. For now then, guess that things are going pretty smoothly. I cannot wait until we get a photographer and the florist set so we are almost finished with the big planning.
Planning, in life, is everything. Utilizing schedules and calendars to keep our lives straight, keeping a firm track of the time and how we spend it–just a couple ways to make life go smoothly. I’m not sure how you do it either with school and work. It’s impressive that you can. With things like this, sacrifices, as I’m sure you’ve learned and know, must be made. I’m sure in the end it will all be worth it.
