What about the reception…..

I guess for now I am set on a lot of things for the wedding. I have a caterer, a florist in mind, lots of photographers in mind, and the essentials taken care of. Now, I am looking at what to have for party favors. There are so many gift ideas and so little time to actually do them. So, I decided to buy some circle tulle that I am going to candy and nuts in and then wrap that up with a blue or green ribbon. I do not have a lot of extra money, but I wanted something simple that everyone could enjoy. There are lots of other party favors that I could have chose from. However, I liked this idea better because my bridesmaids and me are going to put them together a day or two before the wedding. I think that is going to be a nice time for us to do it. When I was looking for ideas for the party favors I visited a lot of different websites and also asked my friends that are already married. Here is what I came up with:

  • Go to a wedding website and just browse through what they suggest for favors.

  • Go to a wedding shop in town. Look at their stock in favors to see what could be done and the cost behind it.
  • Once you have what you want to do. Sit down and come up with how you are going to get it done. Make a list of where the item is, how much is going to cost you, and what you have to do to get it done for the wedding.

I went many websites to help me with the choices I had to make. Here are just a few that I liked:

  1. Hanson Ellis wedding favors
  2. Gift Favors wedding favors
  3. Wedding Channel wedding favors

There are many more sites, just go to yahoo and search for them. Believe me there are so many sites to help you, you will not have a problem in this area. So, here is what I am going to do. Here are some pictures I found on the web to show what I am going to do.

Tulle for favors favorsI have the circle tulles in white. I am going to get some hard candy and peanuts to put in the center and then I am going to buy some navy blue and hunter green ribbon to tie a bow around it. This will be placed at the top of each place setting on the reception tables.

  1. Admittedly, wedding favors are kind of exciting. And I suppose for this reason you couldn’t get away with not having some kind of favor. I think for a wedding simplicity is best. It doesn’t have to expensive or too extravagant. Just something nice, maybe a little fancy; like your idea. I’m sure your guests will enjoy very much.
