So, I have decided to make my own flowers. It seems that it could be kind of tedious. I think it is going to be fun. I went to the store the other day and I found some flowers that I liked. I put them together into a rather nice arrangement. I have been looking on the web a lot to get more information about how to put the flowers together. I bought some cute vases from Marshall fields when they were going out of business. They are vary nice and hopefully they will turn out something like these flowers. Although, the flowers that I am going to use will be in blues, greens, and lots of reds. At the bottom of each of the vases I am going to put colored rocks. I found the rocks on sale and was able to get a lot of dark blue ones. I have also found green rocks to add to the blue rocks to make a water look to it.
I think that I am kind of lucky in a way because my cousin used to have a flower shop. She is going to help make the flowers for the reception tables. The flowers that the bridesmaids and me are going to hold will be real flowers. I am still looking at flower shops to find the best price. I am currently looking at Martin’s flower shop and Patricia Ann’s floral shop. I have lots of ideas for what the bouquets will look like. I just need to have some time to sit down with the florists so I know if what I want can be done. This time unfortunately is hard for me to get right now. I have open time on the weekends, but a lot of places do not want to make appointments for the weekends. So, I guess for now I am just going to have to wait and see.

All of these are great types of bouquets. I like them all very much. I would just change the colors of the flowers to be either reds, blues, or greens. I only want to use these colors for the wedding. So, I think for now I am set. I just need to sit down with a florist to make sure that it can be done. Now, that is one worry less for me to have.
I like the idea of the colored rocks. Something about that is magical to me. This task might seem tedious but I’m sure you know you’ll be satisfied in the end, because it will be what you want. You’ll tell a story (or at least set the mood of a story) with your flower arrangements; it may take some work to get it right. But I’m sure you will.
My daughter found a flower shop that would work with us to lower the cost. She went with blue hydrangeas. My other daughter had an abundance of them in her yard. We used them along and had the florist make the arrangement at a huge reduction of cost. My other daughter had used the same florist. We went with a beautiful mixture of seasonal flowers. The vase was clear and in the bottom was filled with seashells. We live in a seaside community and it all came worked perfectly!
