What about the reception…..

I guess for now I am set on a lot of things for the wedding. I have a caterer, a florist in mind, lots of photographers in mind, and the essentials taken care of. Now, I am looking at what to have for party favors. There are so many gift ideas and so little time to actually do them. So, I decided to buy some circle tulle that I am going to candy and nuts in and then wrap that up with a blue or green ribbon. I do not have a lot of extra money, but I wanted something simple that everyone could enjoy. There are lots of other party favors that I could have chose from. However, I liked this idea better because my bridesmaids and me are going to put them together a day or two before the wedding. I think that is going to be a nice time for us to do it. When I was looking for ideas for the party favors I visited a lot of different websites and also asked my friends that are already married. Here is what I came up with:

• Go to a wedding website and just browse through what they suggest for favors.

About those flowers….

So, I have decided to make my own flowers. It seems that it could be kind of tedious. I think it is going to be fun. I went to the store the other day and I found some flowers that I liked. I put them together into a rather nice arrangement. I have been looking on the web a lot to get more information about how to put the flowers together. I bought some cute vases from Marshall fields when they were going out of business. They are vary nice and hopefully they will turn out something like these flowers. Although, the flowers that I am going to use will be in blues, greens, and lots of reds. At the bottom of each of the vases I am going to put colored rocks. I found the rocks on sale and was able to get a lot of dark blue ones. I have also found green rocks to add to the blue rocks to make a water look to it.

For my Wedding:

Well, for my wedding I have lots of ideas and lots of time to get them done. I have decided to have the bridesmaids dresses made by a friend of a friend, who can actually sew. I cannot do that and I am sure if I tried the dresses would look pretty bad. I did find patterns that I love. They were only 99 cents for three patterns. I think that was a good bargain. The only problem is the seamstress has not called me back on whether or not she can make the dresses. After I decided to have the dresses made, I let the girls know and they were very excited. The pattern that I got are simple, but still elegant looking.

What about the cake?

I think I finally found someone to make the cake. I am really excited about it. The name of the place is West End bakery. They have a lot of nice cakes and reasonable prices. The picture above is similar to what I chose.  The only differences is the colors, number of tiers, and the top of the cake. When choosing a cake, you have to figure out what you actually want. I decided to make a list to help me out. Here is what I came up and this might help you:

• First, you have to decide to what kind of cake you want. You have to decide if you want white, chocolate, or a mix of some type. I do not like chocolate so much and my fiance does not like it at all. I decided to do is have half white and half chocolate. By doing this, I please both sides.

Choosing a photographer….

I know it is very hard to choose a photographer.  I thought I had someone in mind, but come to find out that they no longer do photography.  So now, I am looking for a photographer.  There are so many to choose from.  I went to the web for help and there is so much information.  Is there any hope that I will find a photographer?  I am sure that there is.  I am going to continue to try to find a photographer, it could take me a while.
